Reports to: Director of Development

Job Summary: Provide support for scientific and engineering projects in the development of testing and products from research and development to clinical manufacturing.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Participate with our multi-functional team, on the development of new regenerative medicine products and manufacturing of current products
  • Develop and optimize biological and mechanical assays, develop physical and analytical test methods, and execute tests on products and product samples
  • Produce research and development batches of regenerative medicine products
  • Assist in the development and execution of Process Verification and Validation activities
  • Prepare research and development and manufacturing documentation
  • Write and assemble protocols and reports
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and safety requirements
  • Maintain files, records, and equipment
  • Assist in GMP product manufacturing and documentation efforts
  • Perform ongoing product stability testing
  • Record data, log activities and monitor processes
  • Achieve and maintain proficiency through training
  • Operate and maintain equipment within the scope of training utilizing defined schedules and written instructions to perform quality control checks, preventive maintenance, and calibration.
  • Recognize critical, abnormal, and unacceptable test results and follow-up according to established protocols
  • Will be trained, understand and follow Carmell’s GMP documentation and policies

Education and Experience

  • B.S. or B.A. Degree in Life Sciences or Engineering [3.5 GPA preferred], and/or 2-3-years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of basic biology and mechanics
  • QC, R&D or clinical laboratory testing experience
  • GMP or clinical documentation experience
